"And the mercy seat is smoking
And I think my head is melting
And in a way that's helpin'
to be done with all this twistin' of the truth
          An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth
And any way I told the truth
          But I'm afraid I told a lie."

                            “Peter’s ******* ******* *********** *** ************ unmasked during the Civil War, ****************************** *****************. They know he unmasked – ********* ****************************** * **** ****New Avengers, ***** ******* NO. ONE.

                            “MJ has ******************** ****** ******* ************** Peter and Mary Jane ***** ****** married. For as-of-yet******* reasons, ********** ***** ************ MJ ****** ****************************** ****************************** ********

                            “Aunt May is*********** ****** **** ******* ********** **** ***** ******************** ******************************
                            *********

                            “****** Osborn ******* **** ************************** ******************** ******* psychotic killer ********* ********** super villain can be.”

From there information is a little more forthcoming. Peter Parker apparently has or has previously given up being Spider-Man in the wake of the Superhuman Registration Act and his old school Rogue’s Gallery being on the run, until new villains bring a new wave of terror to New York City.

Also, struggling for cash, Peter Parker returns to job as a photographer at the Daily Bugle, which will be going through some significant changes in “Brand New Day”.

Hinting with some copy and an image that suggests J. Jonah Jameson may be “sidelined” by a health crisis of some sort, the Bugle apparently falls into the hands of Jameson’s top rival, Dexter Bennett, who is described as “everything Jonah’s not – slick, charming, generous to his photographers…and completely dishonest.”

Bennett renames the Bugle the “DB” turning the paper into a “celebrity-packed tabloid”, which proves to be a hit with the public.

Little info is given about Aunt May and Mary Jane, with their respective pages nearly completely redacted, aside from stock images.

The latter half of the publication deals with new supporting cast members and villains.

Lily Hollister is the daughter of the D.A. turned-Mayoral Candidate Bill Hollister and his biggest supporter.

"She’s also the beautiful and charming new girlfriend of **********************. ******** in love with her too,” reads the bible.

Vin Gonzales is a young, proud cop new to the force, which according to Marvel means he doesn’t like Spider-Man.

“Gonzales does come to trust Peter as a media informant…but he still doesn’t like him.”

Carlie Cooper is Lily’s best friend and a police forensic expert.

“She is is doomed to ****** bridge ********** **************

                            “She’s hooks ******** ******************* ********* officer Vin Gonzales.”

Jackpot, of course previously seen in last springs Spider-Man: Swing Shift Free Comic Book Day offering, is “an SHRA approved superheroine whose red hair and free spirit seem all too familiar to Spidey.”

                            “Spidey’s *********** on her ************ behaves like a ********, she’s actually *** *********** in a costume.”

Finally, Joe Robertson and Betty Brant are mentioned briefly. The latter is described as Peter’s best friend at the Bugle and has been promoted to the crime beat.

                            Next up are the villains…

Menace is described as a “Mysterious villain **************** with advanced technology and a far more imposing appearance.

“Responsible for the death of ******** *************, and seems intent on killing all **************** ****************** is done.”

Freak is a junkie-turned monster, born from the chrysalis experiment by Dr. Curt Connors.

“Armed with regeneration powers, he comes back in a different form every time he’s killed…which is a number of times.”

Mr. Negative is a mysterious crime boss seen only in the shadows, making a play to run all crime in New York, killing off all rival crime families.

                            “He is secretly ******** ********************.”

The Bookie is he resident bet taker at the super-villain hang out, “The Bar with No Name.”

“Frequently pushed around by the villains, The Bookie is smarter than he seems…and is secretly *********************.“

The apparently-female villains Screwball and Paper Doll are seen only in headshots with information deemed “Classified”.
