In a surprising report, an unnamed developer, reportedly one of the largest in the Industry, has stated that it will only bring middling efforts to Wii, simply leaving Nintendo to deliver the 'big' content. Whilst the likes of Sega, EA and Square Enix are busy putting their efforts into creating strong software for Nintendo's extremely popular Wii console, a new report is suggesting there is at least one large Third Party out there that simply wants to cash-in on the system without putting any real major investment into creating Triple-A quality games.
Sadly, Screen Digest states the following:
'Publishers in the past have been loath to invest in Nintendo consoles to the same degree as Nintendo 1st party, so 3rd party titles have often not been as competitive. This time round, on one hand some publishers are investing much less saying they will leave the platform drivers to Nintendo and ride their coat tails by spending very little on mediocre quality titles but ones which will give some return. 'We're running a business, not to win awards but to make money ? if we make breakeven plus on Wii then we are happy,' said one of the largest Japanese publishers.'
But who could this mysterious large Japanese developer be? Capcom has two Resident Evil games, plus Zack & Wiki, Bandai Namco has Soul Calibur Legends, Konami has done Elebits and has Dewy's Adventure on the way and Square Enix has three large RPGs on the boil.
Estranho... 'Grande' produtora japonesa? Capcom? Square-Enix? Konami? Namco? (na boa, acho que é a Sega)
